Gerald Madigan is a Managing Director of Quest Turnaround Advisors, LLC and advises
investors, boards and companies facing financial/operational restructuring issues. Current
clients include a large Asia-based financial institution and an international consulting firm.
Prior to Quest he was Managing Director/Portfolio Manager in JPMorgan’s Global Credit
Trading Group, responsible for special situation investments in the US and Europe. During
his twenty-year career at JPMorgan, he had senior investment responsibilities in a wide
range of corporate restructurings and led creditor groups and committees in some of the
highest profile international restructuring transactions including Lehman Brothers, AMR
Corp., Minster Insurance Ltd., Delta Airlines, USG, GGP Inc., Eastman Kodak, Conseco
Inc., United Airlines, and Centro Properties Group.
Prior to joining JPMorgan, Mr. Madigan held positions in the fixed income businesses of
Morgens Waterfall Vintiadis Inc. (investment advisory), Oppenheimer & Company, and
Kidder Peabody & Co Inc. He began his restructuring career at Ernst and Young in 1990.
Mr. Madigan serves on the corporate board of NewRue21Holdings Inc., a nationwide
retailer of women’s and men’s apparel. He previously served as a member on the Board of
Directors of AMF Bowlmor Inc., Minster Insurance Company Ltd., Oneida Limited Inc., CML
Innovative Technologies Inc. and Bally’s Total Fitness Inc. On the not-for-profit side, he
currently serves on the Board of Trustees of God’s Love We Deliver, and on the Leadership
Council of the College of Business at Marquette University.
Mr. Madigan received his MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University, and a
BS in Economics, summa cum laude, from Marquette University.
