Mark Chambers, a Senior Director of Quest Administrative Services, has 25 years of diverse experience in accounting and tax services.  While primarily focused on federal, state, and local income tax compliance, research, and planning, Mr. Chambers has had in depth exposure to other tax areas as well including payroll tax, sales and use tax, and property tax.

Mr. Chambers most recently served as the Senior Vice President – Taxation for Adelphia Communications Corporation.  In that role, Mr. Chambers was responsible for all tax matters including the filing of required income, sales and use, payroll, and property tax returns for all federal, state, and local applicable taxing authorities, overseeing the resolution of all tax audits, and the tax disclosure/footnote reporting contained in any financial reports including GAAP financial statements and ongoing periodic bankruptcy court status reporting.

Mr. Chambers has experience and understands the tax reporting and tax issues facing the various legal entity structures whether a corporation, consolidated group of corporations, partnerships, S corporations, and LLCs.  Specific to bankruptcy proceedings, Mr. Chambers has experience with the tax reporting of the often used trust entities including grantor trusts, settlement funds, and disputed ownership funds.  He understands the value and importance of working with the tax counsel of the debtors, the various creditor committees, and other constituencies to ensure that the tax reporting requirements and tax objectives of any plan of reorganization or trust documents are met.

Prior to Adelphia, Mr. Chambers was a tax manager for Rockwell International Corporation, a diverse multinational manufacturing conglomerate.  His responsibilities included federal and state income tax compliance as well as coordination of tax audits.  He also worked for Deloitte and Touche as a Senior Tax Accountant serving a broad range of medium to large sized corporate clients.  He began his professional career as an Accountant at Marathon Oil Company.

Mr. Chambers is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Masters in Taxation.
